Former Stein’s head chef Ross Geach is the owner and head grower at Padstow Kitchen Garden, supplying vegetables to top restaurants in Cornwall and beyond.
A seventh-generation farmer, Ross turned a hobby into a thriving business, harvesting in the morning and personally delivering to local chefs by lunchtime. He has written for The Telegraph’s gardening section, appeared on BBC Radio Cornwall’s Gardenline, and featured on BBC One’s Countryfile.
To stay connected to the kitchen, Ross hosts pop-up cookery events, BBQ workshops, and Big Green Egg demonstrations using only farm-grown or reared ingredients. This year, Ross was made the UKs first Big Green Egg champion. This role sees him use his passion for and knowledge of cooking over fire around the world, including at Atlanta’s Eggtoberfest, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Big Green Egg.
New this year, guests can stay on Ross’ family farm in luxury Shepherd’s Huts, immersing themselves in the sustainable ethos at the heart of Padstow Kitchen Garden.
