Wine lovers can explore fine rosés, vintage English wines, and exquisite Champagnes with expert Elly Owen and Sam Lindo. Plus, don’t miss beer tastings with St Ives Brewery and a spritz masterclass with Connie Glaze Vodka.
Founded by award-winning chef Jeffrey Robinson, one of the first chefs in the world to earn a Green Michelin Star, St Ives Cookery School offers hands-on culinary experiences using Cornwall’s finest produce.
Based at Primrose House, the school welcomes small groups to learn essential skills—from baking and butchery to pasta-making and filleting—while creating delicious, seasonal dishes.
This summer, Jeffrey brings his expertise to the beach, where guests can cook over an open fire and discover the art of preparing fresh, local ingredients in a stunning coastal setting.

Learn how to fillet your own fish from scratch, turning a raw ingredient into a perfect fillet. Then cure and cook over fire yourself. Alongside filleting fish, learn how to make a crunchy remoulade to finish your lunch, all from scratch including how to make a fabulous thick mayonnaise.

Steak with chimichurri, asparagus and new potatoes.
Cook your own supper with an award winning chef, over fire from scratch.
Using aged Cornish beef and we will go through how to butcher and portion the steak before going through all of the processes it takes to cook a steak perfectly, however which way you prefer as long as it isn’t well done.
We will be serving this with a wild garlic chimichurri, asparagus and new potatoes, also cooked over fire as the steak rests. Before enjoying supper on the beach by the fire overlooking the sea.
A fantastic wine will also be available if you wish to enjoy, along with the steak.

Get set to taste some of the most well-known and acclaimed rosé’s on the market. Learn the story behind these brands and why they are so exulted. The masterclass will include Whispering Angel, Rock Angel, AIX en Provence and more.
SATURDAY 4pm - Camel Valley with Sam Lindo and Elly Owen
A rare opportunity to taste exclusive vintage bottles from the Camel Valley cellar, both still and sparkling, with extraordinary insight from second generation wine maker Sam Lindo.
Camel Valley has been producing award-winning, world class wines in Cornwall since 1989. If finding old English wine can be tricky, this tasting will blow your mind – one not to be missed!
SUNDAY 3pm - A Champagne exploration
How do you know which brand or style of Champagne is the best?
Join our vertical tasting to try some insane champagnes and compare them, to really understand the wine behind the label.
In Elly’s humble opinion, this (and our beach setting!) is the best way to taste Champagne and a magical experience to remember.

Join Josh Quick’s foraging walks at the St Ives Food Festival to discover edible plants, learn sustainable harvesting, and taste the unique flavours of the Cornish landscape.

Josh Quick from St Ives is a passionate forager and founder of Wild St Ives, a social enterprise inspiring connections between people, plants, and the outdoors. He has worked with everyone from home cooks to top chefs, sharing his knowledge of wild ingredients.
Josh has also explored sustainable food practices in the film Hungry for Change and appeared on Rick Stein’s Cornwall with a distillery he helped set up.

Join St Ives Brewery for an introduction to beer. You’ll get behind the scenes information into how their craft brews are made, from ingredient selection right up to packaging, and taste six beers from the collection.
Brewery founder Marco Amura will guide the session, offering tasting notes and insights about their lagers, pale ales, hoppy IPAs, stouts and fruited sours.
