Rachael Gaunt is a St Ives based food blogger who works within seasonal ‘Cornish Coastal’ abundance to present health and wellbeing in a fun and accessible way. Her food and wellbeing adventures are documented on Instagram at @l.o.v.e_cornwall. This year she brings three of her favourite tiny talks to the festival, via a 30-minute interview format with local experts hosted in the new Chefs Table masterclass venue.
Larissa and Will Radmore grow and produce traditionally stone milled flour, championed by local chefs. The benefits of eating locally produced heritage grains are progressively revealing themselves and plough to plate awareness helps local ecosystems thrive. The Radmore family will talk about keeping local traditions alive via their low input methods that promote quality before yield, producing ethical, natural goods of local origin integrating crops to promote bees and other insects within their thriving Farm. Their signature wheat was historically grown in the west country for its high resilience in the warm damp climate perfectly suited to Cornwall. A perfect pasty or sourdough loaf tastes even better when you understand the love and care that has gone into its making. Cornish Golden Grains will shine a light on wheat, an important staple in a healthy Cornish diet.
