Jeffrey Robinson
Founded by local chef Jeffrey Robinson, who was one of the first chefs in the world to be awarded a green Michelin Star along with many awards including 3 AA rosettes for his work at his own farm to table restaurant. St Ives Cookery School is a new edition to Cornwall food scene. Offering you the chance to learn direct from an award-winning chef on creating ‘whole foods’ at home for you and your family.
Based at Primrose house the St Ives Cookery School welcomes small groups to prepare and enjoy 3 course meals themselves using some the very best produce that Cornwall has to offer. Be it day boat fish, organic vegetables or foraged foods from the surrounding areas. Learn how to bake, fillet, butcher, make pasta and all in between, helping you leave the course a confident cook.
Jeffrey will be bringing his school to the beach this summer and will be teaching small groups how to prepare dishes right here on the beach using open fire.

Hylton Espey
South African born chef Hylton Espey, alongside his wife Petronella, own and operate Culture Restaurant in Falmouth. After moving to Cornwall in 2016 the duo opened their own restaurant in July 2022.
Culture is a farm to table restaurant showcasing the best hyper local produce served as a seven course Journey menu for dinner and a five course Discovery menu for lunch. The menus are told as a story of where all the ingredients come from, the inspiration and who harvests them.
The intimate twenty cover restaurant overlooks the open kitchen where Hylton combines modern techniques, ancient traditions, and open fire cookery on his custom braai/bbq. Wine enthusiasts love the glass wine cellar where Hylton and Petronella showcase some of their personal favourites from old and new world producers.
Culture was awarded a Green MICHELIN Star in 2023 as well as Three AA Rosettes for 2023-2024.

T Bone Chops
Chris “Chops” Taylor is a whirlwind of humanity, plain and simple.
He’s half man, half epic guitar solo. Heading up the fire food event catering at Berro Kitchen you can see food flows through his veins. With a career as Masterchef home economist behind him, Chris is now a teacher, author and audacious show off. Every dish comes with handfuls of fun and flavour. “Chops” tempers his extensive knowledge and skill with a slathering of humour and wit.
If you want to learn something about food and have a good time doing it – this is your guy. Co-Author of DJBBQ’s Fire Food, Fire Feasts and Backyard Baking, with contributions to many other publications.
You can also see Chris on TV screens alongside Marcus Wareing and heading up the great festival machine that is the DJBBQ feast experience!

Rupert Cooper
Chef extraordinaire Rupert Cooper is the owner of the award-winning cookery school on the Roseland, Philleigh Way Cookery School and The Cove Cafe in Hayle.
Expect his all-famous fire cooking techniques, middle-eastern inspired dishes, naughty desserts, flavours from Rupert’s boundless knowledge of food from across the globe, and much more. Passion for all things food and drink, Rupert is a champion for Cornish hospitality across all sectors.
Rupert love’s food and embraces the challenge that comes with sharing that enjoyment through the cookery school, pop ups, private dining, festivals, his community projects and everything in between. To have a passion in life is a marvellous thing. Rupert has been lucky enough to make a living from two of his; food and rugby!

Norman Jay MBE
Norman Jay is unquestionably one of the most respected and popular DJs in the world today. Co-founder of the legendary Good Times Sound System and London dance music station KISS FM, Jay fostered the ‘Rare Groove’ scene pushing the boundaries of the UK’s emerging club culture.
Awarded an MBE for services to deejaying and music, in 2017 he released ‘Mister Good Times’ capturing the true spirit of Good Times, and is currently taking his legendary Good Times party to selected venues around the UK, continuing to convert generations of clubbers to the cause, championing new sounds, yet never forgetting his musical roots, thus guaranteeing nothing but
‘Good Times’.

Ferris & Sylvester
Ferris & Sylvester are an English husband-and-wife duo known for their captivating blend of folk, blues, rock, and soul. Their 2024 album Otherness reached the top 10 in the Americana and Folk Charts, celebrated for its themes of connection through difference.
Their debut album Superhuman topped the UK Blues Chart and won ‘UK Album of the Year’ at the 2023 UK Americana Awards.
Praised for their “immaculate harmonies” (Rolling Stone) and electrifying live shows, the duo have shared stages with Robert Plant and George Ezra and performed at major festivals like Glastonbury.

Year of the Dog
Smashing the festival, radio, and TV circuits alike, the brass-house-soul sound from Cardiff and Bristol are selling out gigs and rising fast across Europe.
Having built a reputation as one of the most unforgettable dance inducing live bands on the underground scene, the BBC Introducing group have blasted the biggest stages at festivals including Noz Stock, Kendal Calling, Cheltenham Jazz, Cardiff LGBTQ+ Pride and many more. The Dogs have spent the summer of 2023 touring on a European scale at festivals and live music venues finishing with the Rugby World Cup final in Paris.
The six-piece who formed at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2018 are also recognised for their star appearance as Swing Band in Netflix’s smash hit series, Sex Education, performing single Run These Streets in series 1 ep3.
