Stephane Delourme grew up between Brittany and Paris, developing a passion for cooking inspired by his uncle’s travels. At 16, he began an apprenticeship at the two Michelin-starred Sully D’ Auteuil, later working at Le Vieux Berlin. In 1989, he moved to London, joining the Hilton’s Roof Restaurant and helping open prestigious restaurants, working with chefs like Michael Croft and Martin Webb.
His career took him to Michelin-starred Prunier in Paris, the QE2 cruise liner, and Patrick Guilbaud’s two Michelin-starred restaurant in Dublin. After years of traveling, he settled in Cornwall, joining Rick Stein Restaurants, where he became head chef at The Seafood Restaurant for 21 years before becoming Group Chef in 2019.
Stephane is passionate about fresh Cornish produce and local suppliers. A keen marathon runner, he once completed seven in a summer for charity. He now enjoys life in Padstow with his partner, three daughters, and their dog.
