Executive Chef / Owner – Source Kitchen, St Ives
Stephen owns Source Kitchen on The Digey in St Ives with fiancée Sophie. Source Kitchen’s ethos is, unsurprisingly, all about where produce is sourced. They focus on using the amazing produce that Cornwall has and working continually to use seasonal ingredients. Sustainability is hugely important, Source Kitchen only ever use dayboat or line-caught fish from local waters.
The St Ives Food and Drink Festival is the reason that Stephen & Sophie opened a restaurant in St Ives. Stephen used to run a street food business and came to St Ives to trade at the festival in 2019, the sun shone all weekend, and the water looked like the Caribbean….. the rest is history.
Stephen gave up a successful career in financial services to retrain as a chef at Leith’s School of Food & Wine in West London, where he met Sophie. Stephen worked around London and abroad as a private chef, and gained experience at some amazing London restaurants. He hosted pop up supper clubs and ran a street food business traveling the country’s music & food festivals.
