Selina Periampillai was born in London and her second home is the tropical island of Mauritius where her parents come from. Selina started her first Mauritian supper-club dining experience from her home in Croydon, and with a loyal following she hosts pop ups, teaches cookery classes, demos at food festivals and does private catering with her company Taste Mauritius. Selina has written for the likes of Jamie Oliver, Air Mauritius, BBC Good Food Magazine and BA High Life. After having her daughter and traveling around the Indian Ocean islands she wrote her debut cookbook “The Island Kitchen” published by Bloomsbury out on 2nd May. The book has already been shortlisted for The Jane Grigson Award 2019.
