SUNDAY NIGHT EVENING SESSION
18:30 – 19:15
Bailey Tomkinson, a singer-songwriter from St Ives, is part of the new wave of British Country influenced artists. When not performing, she can be found surfing the waves at her local Porthmeor beach.
Recently featured in The Metro, The Times and on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Bailey’s mix of pop-country hooks and relatable storytelling has earned her comparisons with an early Taylor Swift and the legendary Emmylou Harris.
Bailey’s crossover appeal saw her land a recent #1 hit on the UK all-genre iTunes Music Video Charts, outselling Miley Cyrus and Kylie Minogue, and her latest single also entered the iTunes country charts at #1.
With a strong reputation on the UK festival scene, Bailey’s progression has earned her slots at Boardmasters Festival and a main stage opening slot for KT Tunstall. She’s proven herself capable of stripped-down acoustic sets as well as high energy performances with her band which, in January 2020, sold out Islington’s O2 Academy.
Raised in Milan, Brussels and the UK, Bailey plays both piano and acoustic guitar, with influences ranging from Springsteen and Swift to the Eagles, Carole King and John Denver.
