The Asado Fire Pit is a chef demo area that is all about cooking over fire.

Tom Bray of Country Fire Kitchen builds fire cooking equipment for both domestic & commercial settings. He’ll be lighting the fires and aiming to start the first demo at 10.30am. The Asado Fire Pit is open to the elements and so the demo times are very weather dependant. Some things take hours to cook, so there will a few chefs cooking at the same time, showing a variety of different ways to cook meat, fish or vegetables over live fire. Country Fire Kitchen will be supplying the kit & cooking alongside other expert chefs over the weekend.

On show will be a range of techniques, such as cooking a lamb or goat on an asado cross. As well as a wide range of techniques for cooking meat, fish and vegetables with fire. Ross Geach of Padstow Kitchen Garden will be hosting demos as well as cooking. Please note demos may be subject to change.
