New for this year, we introduce an art pillar to the St Ives Food and Drink Festival. St Ives is the art mecca of the South West and attracts artist from all over the world. From live painting demonstrations, pop up art galleries and kids art and crafts there’s plenty to explore on the beach.

Live Painting Demonstration with Tim Hall, from Cornwall Painting Holidays
Artist Tim Hall RSMA will paint a portrait from the drawing stages to the finish using oil paint. This will include the mixing of colours, measuring and the application of paint and will be done from a seated portrait model.
After completing a degree in Fine Art from Kingston Art College, Tim worked in the art department of Shepperton and Pinewood film studios, he maintained his painting and took on some prestigious public and private commissions, notably a monumental piece for Air Products HQ, actors John Nettles, Peter Farrell and Brian Burden and business tycoon Gary Blackburn with family. Subsequently Tim taught art for eight years before moving from Esher to Cornwall, there he has opened his own painting holidays school and concentrated on the Cornish sea and landscape.

Children Arts and Crafts with the Barnoon Team
4pm – 5.30pm Saturday /Sunday – Made in St Ives venue
Get creative with the children and join us for some art and crafts with the Barnoon Team, the creators behind the St Ives Colouring Book. Free entertainment for the kids to enjoy.
