Bamaluz Bootleggers is an enthusiastic mixed voice group from St Ives, formed in 2015 to resurrect the pub singing scene in their town.
Although named after the smallest of the town’s beaches, their sound is big and they bring an energetic and fresh approach to Sea Shanties and Cornish songs.
As well as performing regularly in their home town, including at the St Ives September Festival, they love supporting Cornwall’s Shanty community, singing at local Shouts and charity events.
In November 2017 they held a very successful 2nd St Ives Annual Shout, welcoming over twenty shanty groups from near and far for a great weekend of singing (and beer!).
